Over the years, I’ve cleaned a lot of windows. Especially external windows, like on the balcony of my apartment where when the window washers come by they clean the outside of the window, but because the inside is just as dirty, they still look like shit. This is a super simple recipe/instruction on how to do the inside of those windows.

Ingredients

  • 500ml water, distilled
  • 60ml vinegar, white
  • 5ml dish soap

Instructions

  1. Combine water, vinegar, and soap in a bucket, mix throughly but not vigorously.
  2. Use a scrub brush, soak in bucket of cleaning solution
  3. Use the brush to scrub the window clean
  4. Rinse with fresh water
  5. Use a squeegie is desired to completely dry the window
  6. Win.

Note: Don’t be conned by “cleaning vinegar” or stuff like that. Just use plain old white vinegar, the stuff they have in the discount store for $2 for 4L is fine. The only difference is that cleaning vinegar could potentially have a higher acetic acid content (up to 20%, but not likely). Nothing that can’t be solved by using more “regular” vinegar..
